

Obituary of John E Velardi
Piscataway, NJ – John E. Velardi, 70, passed away peacefully, early in the morning on Wednesday, January 29, 2025, at JFK Medical Center in Edison, surrounded by family.
Born in Plainfield to the late Peter and Lucille Velardi, John was raised in Piscataway, and was a graduate of Piscataway High School, Class of 1972. He was a lifelong resident of Piscataway
After graduating, John went to work for Weldatron in Piscataway as a Machinist. In 1998, after 26 years, he left Weldatron and went to study computer. A career he held for a couple years, holding positions at various firms, including one in Long Island, before returning to Machining. He continued to work for Bell Art, then most recently, Innovative Manufacturing in Hillsborough. He worked for Innovative up until his retirement in October of 2024.
In his younger years, John enjoyed bowling, and through his entire life, he had a huge heart for animals of all sorts.
Predeceased by his parents, and sister, Ilene Walkoviak, John is survived by his sister, Grace Ragno and her husband Joe; nieces and nephews, Anne, David, Sean, Joseph, and Alyssa; and great niece, Amanda and her son Lukasz. He will also be missed by a host of extended relatives and friends.
Funeral Services will be held in the Piscataway Funeral Home, 18 Stelton Road, Piscataway, NJ, on Monday, February 10, 2025, at 12 PM. Family and friends are invited to gather at the funeral home prior to the services, beginning at 10 AM.
Inurnment will follow at Resurrection Burial Park, 899 East Lincoln Avenue, Piscataway, NJ.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, or the Wounded Warrior Project, in John’s name.
