Obituary of Thomas W. McDonnell, III
Bridgewater – Thomas W. McDonnell, III, 60, passed away Sunday, February 16, 2025 at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital in New Brunswick.
Born and raised in Plainfield, Thomas settled to Bridgewater in 1996 and where he has been a long time resident.
Thomas worked as a Home Inspector and was a lifelong collector of antiques. He enjoyed visiting antique stores, flea markets and estate sales and turned his passion into a business opportunity when he opened, TNT Antiques and Collectables on Division Street in Somerville. In his spare time, Thomas enjoyed the outdoors, target shooting and fishing.
His greatest joys came from taking care of his beloved African Gray parrot as well as traveling to Long Beach Island, NJ.
Predeceased by his father, Thomas W. McDonnell, Jr., surviving are his mother, Rosemary (Faso) McDonnell and his brother, Joseph McDonnell. He will also be missed by his cousin Frank Pish and his wife Claire, great cousins Lindsay Barna and her husband Anthony and their daughter Stella and Jonathan Pish and his wife Marianne and children Roxanne and Jonny Pish and extended family and friends.
Visitation will be held on Friday, February 21, 2025 from 4-7PM in the McCriskin – Gustafson Home For Funerals, 2425 Plainfield Avenue South Plainfield NJ 07080. Funeral services will begin at 6:30PM.
In lieu of flowers, the family has requested donations be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital or the Make-A-Wish Foundation.
Cremation will be held privately.
