Obituary of Hilda Aponte
Piscataway - Hilda Aponte, 95, passed away Sunday morning, February 23, 2025 at home.
Born and raised in San German, Puerto Rico, Hilda immigrated to New York City in 1947 where she resided until 1962. After relocating to Jersey City for several years, Hilda settled to Piscataway Township in 1983.
While her talent as a seamstress shone through in the beautiful garments she created for her loved ones, Hilda took great pride in her role as a devoted mother and grandmother.
Predeceased by her husband, Miguel Aponte who passed in August 2018; surviving are her son, Miguel Aponte and wife Carmen, two grandchildren, Brandon Aponte wife Yesari and Tara Granato and husband John and two sisters, Sarah Montes and Mary Cintron.
She will also be missed by her cherished great granddaughters, Adrianna and Talia Granato.
Family and friends may gather on Saturday, March 1, 2025 at the Piscataway Funeral Home, 18 Stelton Road, Piscataway NJ 08854 from 3-5PM.
