Obituary of Clara A. Lawrence
Clara A. Lawrence, 90, of Danville, PA passed away at home peacefully in her sleep on Friday, March 7th, 2025.
Born in Newark, Clara grew up in Belleville, NJ. Following the marriage to her husband Steve, she resided Linden before moving to South Plainfield where she resided for over 60 years prior to recently relocating to Danville, PA.
Clara took pride in her Italian heritage and was known for her cooking and baking. You could not leave her house unless you had something to eat first. She was very affectionate and would hug everyone and remind them how much she loved them. She enjoyed gardening and loved flowers, especially her gladiolas.
In addition, Clara worked for many years in the clerical field prior to retiring 30 years ago.
She is predeceased by her husband, Steven E Lawrence, her daughters, Linda Namotka and Sherri Mayerski.
She is survived by her son, Steven E Lawrence Jr, and daughter, Tina M. Stutz, both of Piscataway, NJ. She also leaves behind grandchildren, Steven, Stormy, PJ, Charlie, Robert, and Michelle along with four great grandchildren, Dustin, Olivia, Till & newest edition, Violet who was born on the day of her death.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday March 12, 2025 beginning at 9am followed by an 11am prayer service in the McCriskin – Gustafson Home For Funerals 2425 Plainfield Ave. South Plainfield, NJ 07080.
Entombment will immediately follow at St. Gertrude’s Cemetery Mausoleum, Colonia
