Obituary of Isabel J Bosco
Clinton, NJ - It is with deep sorrow that we share the passing of Isabel J. Bosco, 90, who peacefully passed away on Sunday, March 9, 2025.
Born in Hackensack to the late Arthur and Isabel (Gordon) Jansen, Isabel grew up in North Arlington where she met the love of her life, Anthony Bosco, whom she later married in 1956. After Anthony enlisted in the United States Army, the couple settled in Fairbanks, Alaska and started a family before moving back to New Jersey where they resided in Piscataway raising their four children, Linda, Tony, Karen and Barbara.
In 1998 after the death of her husband, Isabel moved to the Renaissance Retirement Community, Manchester NJ, where she created lifelong friendships through her passion for competitive sports. She was an active member of the golf, bocci ball, and bowling teams, as well as the Mahjong Club. When not playing sports, Isabel spent much of her time crocheting beautiful sweaters, scarves and blankets, and sewing quilts for friends and family.
In 2015, Isabel moved to Clinton, NJ where she lived a full and loving life near her children and grandchildren. She is predeceased by her husband and son, Anthony and Tony Bosco, and her brother Art Jansen. She is survived by her sister Gloria Riccardi, and her three daughters and their families, Linda (Dennis) Devine, Karen Bosco, and Barbara (Robert) Chabot. She was the proud Grandmother of 7 grandchildren, Dan (Peggy) and Mike (Meghan) Devine, Christopher and Alex Ambrose, and David (Theresa) Phillips, Emma (Nathan) Brunelle, and Conor Chabot, as well as six great-grandchildren, Oliver and Lillie Bury (Devine), Asher and Kambri Phillips, and Noah and Isabel Brunelle.
In her later years, Isabel found great joy in her home life, nurturing her love for gardening and baking, and creating cherished memories with beloved family and caregivers. She will be remembered for her warmth, generosity, and feisty humor, and she will be dearly missed by all who knew her.
