Obituary of Walter Boczon
Piscataway, NJ –Walter. Boczon, 93, passed away at Raritan Bay Medical Center in Perth Amboy on Wednesday, March 12, 2025. Born in Roselle to the late William and Stella Boczon, Walter lived in Roselle until marriage to his late wife, Beverly. They settled to Piscataway in 1969 where they raised their family.
Drafted during the Korean War, Walter proudly served with the United States Navy until his honorable discharge. He spent his career in the telephone industry starting with Bell Labs and retiring from Nokia.
Walter enjoyed time on his motorcycle as well as being outdoors, hiking, canoeing and fishing. In addition, Walter found joy in reading and completing crossword puzzles.
Predeceased by his wife, Beverly Boczon and son, Walter William Boczon; surviving are his daughter, Lisa Boczon; three brothers, Edward Boczon, George Boczon and wife Valerie and Richard Boczon and wife Rose as well as nieces, nephews and extended family.
Family and friends may gather on Tuesday, March 18, 2025 from 2PM – 4PM and 6PM – 8PM in the Piscataway Funeral Home, 18 Stelton Road, Piscataway NJ 08854.
Funeral services will begin on Wednesday, March 19, 2025 at 10:30AM in the funeral home.
Burial will follow in Resurrection Burial Park, Piscataway.
