Obituary of Mark P. Olexion
Piscataway, NJ – Mark P. Olexion, 67, passed away suddenly in Fort Pierce, Florida on March 7, 2025 while walking from the jetty overlooking the Inlet. Born in Plainfield to the late Nicholas and Jenny (Mieszkalski) Olexion, Mark has been a lifelong resident of Piscataway.
He began his career as a garbage man at Rapid Disposal, located in Middlesex. That inspired Mark to start his own businesses; Olexion Rubbish Hauling and Total Trash Removal. In 1984, Mark married the late Cindy Olexion (Shello), whom passed away in 2011 and together, they raised four children.
Recently retired, Mark took advantage of his time and loved to spend it at his condo in Fort Pierce, FL where he spent many summers as a child. He was an avid Disney goer and was looking forward to the family trip there in May. Having a love for fishing and camping, Mark enjoyed his home on the Delaware River and he also enjoyed spending time on the golf course year round. He had a passion for cars, and restored his 1965 Pontiac GTO. Above all things, Mark never missed an opportunity to be with his family, especially his grandchildren. He looked forward to watching them play their various sports, and was known to capture the best moments to share with others. Mark lived for his family and worked hard for everything he had. He will forever be remembered as an ambitious, giving, and lover of life who was always willing to help others.
Predeceased by his parents, and brother, Peter Olexion. Mark leaves behind his four children; Nick (Steph,) Ty (Allyssa,) Amanda (Eric,) and Joey as well as his grandchildren; Madison, Liam, Grayson, Levi and Skylar and his partner, Janet.
