

Obituary of Steve Belford Sr.
Steve Belford, 63, passed away at home on Tuesday, March 25, 2025.
Born in Somerville, he was lifelong resident of New Jersey, before relocating to North Carolina in 2020.
Steve studied lithography at PHS in the late 1970s and worked as a Pre-press Manager in Offset Printing until his retirement in 2020.
In addition to his professional career, Steve was a dedicated baseball and softball umpire and a recreational baseball coach. A talented player himself, Steve’s love for the game never wavered, and he remained an avid player throughout his adult life, forging many lasting friendships along the way.
Above all, Steve’s family was his greatest source of pride and joy. He leaves behind a rich legacy of love, which will continue to inspire those who knew him.
Steve was predeceased by his parents, Irvin and Diane Belford.
Steve Belford is survived by his high school sweetheart and loving wife, Nancy, along with their children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
He is also survived by his siblings: Tom (Deb), Lisa (Jeff), and Ed, as well as many cherished friends, in-laws, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Cremation Services were held privately in North Carolina.
The Memorial Gathering for relatives and friends will take place on Friday, April 4, 2025 from 2-4 & 6-8pm and Saturday, April 5, 2025 from 11am–1pm in the McCriskin –Gustafson Home For Funerals 2425 Plainfield Ave. South Plainfield, NJ 07080.
