William Irwin, 86, passed away on Thursday, April 7, 2025, at Brighton Gardens of Edison.

Born in Newark and raised in Hillside, New Jersey, Mr. Irwin went on to attend Seton Hall University. He later lived in Edison before retiring to Dagsboro, Delaware. In his final years, he returned to South Plainfield to be closer to his family.

A man of many passions, he especially enjoyed fishing, sport shooting, and spending time outdoors. Above all, he loved being with his family, who meant everything to him.

He is survived by his beloved wife, Virginia Irwin; his sons, Thomas and Peter Irwin; and his cherished grandchildren, Devin Hastings, Louis Coniglio, and Annaleis Irwin.
