

Obituary of Arlene E McGuire
Arlene Turco McGuire, 87, passed away peacefully on Monday, April 7, 2025, at Hunterdon Medical Center in Flemington, surrounded by her loving family.
Born in Jersey City, Arlene grew up in Bayonne and lived in Edison before settling in South Plainfield.
Arlene is remembered for the unconditional love she gave her children and for the kind generosity she bestowed upon anyone she met. In this way, she served as an example to others. In addition to the joy she had for her family and friends, she loved to have fun and play games of all kinds, especially those where the gamble was in her favor. She lived a simple life, where sharing tea and conversation was the best way to spend time together. Her passing leaves a gap difficult to fill.
She was predeceased by her son, Michael. She is survived by her three daughters, Rose Godby and her husband Mark of Ponte Vedra, FL, Janet Kline and her husband Jeffrey of South Plainfield, and MaryAnn Turton and her husband Robert of Frenchtown; seven granddaughters, Jessica, Marissa, Katie, Kelly, Emma, Olivia, and Michaela; and seven great-grandchildren, Margot, Amelia, Lucy, McKenna, Robert, Tyler, and Fletcher.
All services have been privately entrusted to the McCriskin – Gustafson Home For Funerals, 2425 Plainfield Ave. South Plainfield, NJ 07080. A celebration of her life will be held at a later date.
