Obituary of Jeremias Manlapig Santos

Jeremias Manlapig Santos, 73, passed away peacefully at his home with his loving family at his bedside on April 17, 2025.  Born in Caloocan City, Philippines, Jeremias came to the United States in 1982, settling to Somerville then Piscataway.

 

He received his Bachelor’s degree and spent his life caring for others as a Licensed Practical Nurse.  He worked for CareOne and retired from Foothill Acres Nursing & Rehabilitation Center in Hillsborough. 

 

He loved to spend time outdoors, especially tending to his garden and yard.  He would often take trips travelling with his wife.  They visited several places including Europe, Alasaka, back home to the Philippines and on cruises.

 

Predeceased by his parents; Ben Espino Santos and Rosita Manlapig, and by his brother Prodito Santos, Jeremias is survived by his wife Myrna (Minoza) Ouana, children; Deborah and Sarah Santos of the Philippines and Joshua Santos of Piscataway.  He will be missed by his brother Arturo Santos of Florida and two grandsons; Zach and Jedd.

 

Visitation will be held on Saturday, April 19, 2025 at Piscataway Funeral Home, 18 Stelton Road, Piscataway, NJ 08854 from 2pm until 6pm.  A funeral service will begin at 4pm.  Jeremias will be buried in Quezon City, Philippines.
