Obituary of Luu Van Nguyen

Middlesex, NJ – Luu Van Nguyen, 76, passed away at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital in New Brunswick on April 17, 2025.  Born in Hanoi, Vietnam to the late Mai V. and Bay Nguyen, Luu came to the United States in 1973.  He lived in Vermont prior to settling in NJ, finally settling to Middlesex in 1993.

In 1975, Luu began working at VIP Honda, and worked there until opening up his own automotive repair, Luu’s Honda Repair located in Middlesex.  As Luu retired, he passed the business to his son, Linh.

Luu enjoyed scuba diving, martial arts, motorcycles and exotic cars, especially being fond of the Acura NSX.  Luu could always be found playing with little trinkets and gadgets and he enjoyed watching European Soccer.

Luu is survived by his wife of twenty-nine years, Chimei Nguyen and his children; Linh Nguyen of Middlesex, Quoc Nguyen of North Dakota and  Catherine Nguyen of Hillsborough and step daughter Lian Hwa Manning of Helsinki, Finland.  He will be missed by his grandchildren; Eric, Melody and Francesca as well as his siblings, Oanh Kay Nguyen of California, Quyunh of Arizona and half-sisters; Ngoc Nguyen of Vietnam and Song Nguyen of Holland and several extended family members and friends.

Visitation will be held at Middlesex Funeral Home, 528 Bound Brook Road, Middlesex, NJ 08846 on Friday, April 25, 2025 from 9am-11am with cremation services to follow at noon at Rosehill Crematory in Linden.
