

Obituary of Hector Frau
Middlesex, NJ – Hector Frau, 84, passed away on Monday, April 21, 2025, at his home in Middlesex, NJ.
Born in Brooklyn, NY to the late Eustasio and Rosa Frau, Hector grew up in Williamsburg. In 1958, he enlisted in the United State Marine Corp. and after four years and a month, Hector was honorably discharged.
In 1961, Hector married Evelyn Eicholz, the two relocated to Borough Park until 1967, when they settled in Middlesex, where they have been residents since.
Professionally, Hector worked for Union Carbide, Ma Bell, and then AT&T, where he retired from in 2000.
Hector was a member of the American Legion John W. Lupu Memorial Post 306 in Middlesex, enjoyed camping and traveling with family, and had a deep appreciation for food.
Predeceased by his daughter, Regina Marie who passed away in 2017, Hector is survived by his loving wife of 63 years, Evelyn Frau; sons, Todd Frau and Anthony Frau and his wife Irma; and grandson, Zackary. He will also be missed by his sister, Rosa Bazzano, along with a host of extended relatives and friends.
Committal prayers and Military Honors will take place at Woodbridge Memorial Gardens, 1098 Woodbridge Center Drive, Woodbridge, NJ, on Saturday, April 26, 2025, at 11 AM.
Entombment will follow.
In lieu of flowers, the Frau family has requested that donations be made to the American Cancer Society, in Hector’s name.
