Obituary of Diane M. Kelly
Diane M. Kelly nee Burns, 80, died Sunday, April 27, 2025 at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital in New Brunswick.
Born and raised in Bayonne, NJ to the late James and Ann Burns, Diane has been a resident of South Plainfield since 1972, relocating to Piscataway in 2022. She was a Medical Executive for St. Peter’s Medical Center retiring in 2009.
A former volunteer at the South Plainfield Senior Center, Diane loved to cook and especially enjoyed Sunday dinners and the time spent with her cherished family in Atlantic City.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband Michael W. Kelly in 2009, and her dear siblings, Mary Ann Knowlton, Christopher Burns, and Robert Burns.
Surviving are her loving children, Timothy A. Kelly and wife Karen and Janine Calvey and husband John; four cherished grandchildren, Courtney, Alyssa, Patrick, and Lauren, as well as many extended family and dear friends.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, May 1, 2025 from 4-8PM in the McCriskin-Gustafson Home for Funerals, 2425 Plainfield Avenue, South Plainfield, funeral services will begin at 7:30PM.
Family and friends may gather back at the funeral home on Friday, May 2, 2025 at 9:30AM, burial will follow at the New Jersey Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Wrightstown.
