Obituary of Jose Jesus Medina

Jose Jesus Medina, 93, passed away on Tuesday, May 27, 2025 at Preferred Care in Old Bridge.

Born and raised in Tarimoro, Guanajuato, Mexico, Mr. Medina arrived to the United States in 1961 residing in New York and in 1981, along with his wife Dolores, who he marries on April 11, 1964, they settled to New Jersey.

While growing up in Mexico, Jose played soccer all throughout his youth. As his passion of the sport grew along with his knowledge and talents of the game, Jose played on a Mexican semi-professional team for a period of time. Being the avid soccer fan he was, Chivas, which plays in the Mexican Professional League, was his favorite team.

In addition, he enjoyed Mariachi and Classical Spanish music as well as working on crossword puzzles.

Surviving is his wife of 61 years Dolores; sons, John of Monroe, Victor also of Monroe, Jose of Jamesburg and Aaron of Monroe; brothers, Miguel Medina of New York, Arturo Medina of Tarimoro, Guanajuato, Mexico and Gabriel Medina of San Francisco, California ; grandchildren, Jacqueline and Angeline and great grandson, Thomas.

The funeral mass will be celebrated on Monday, June 2, 2025 10:30am at St. Frances Cabrini RC Church, Piscataway.

Immediately following mass Jose will be laid to rest at Resurrection Burial Park, Piscataway, NJ 08854.
