Narcisa Dela Cruz Sabale, 81, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, July 5, 2025, at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital – New Brunswick.

Born and raised in Pangasinan, Philippines, to the late Hilario Querante Dela Cruz and Perfecta Cerezo Dela Cruz.  Narcisa graduated college with a degree in Education in Manilla, Philippines, before becoming a grade school teacher.  In 1984, she immigrated to the United States, briefly residing in California, then settling in Hillside, New Jersey.  In 2001, she relocated one final time to Middlesex, NJ, where she has resided since.

Upon moving to the East Coast, Narcisa began working in the Accounting Department of Country-Wide Insurance Company in Manhattan, NY, and remained a loyal employee for over 30 years, before retiring in 2023.

Narcisa was an active member and parishioner of Our Lady of Mount Virgin Church in Middlesex, enjoyed cooking for the family, watching series of shows and movies, going out to dinner with friends and family, traveling with family, and above all else, cherishing the time spent with her grandchildren. Whether it was watching them sing, dance, play guitar, play soccer, or just spending time with them, the moments with her grandchildren were ones she always held close to her heart.  Narcisa was a very loving, caring, thoughtful, hardworking, selfless, and generous in nature to everyone who loved her.  She will be deeply missed by many.

Predeceased by her husband, Orlando Sabale, and six siblings, Narcisa is survived by her sons, Rupert Sabale and his wife Opalyn, Roderick Sabale, and Jose Orlando Sabale and his wife Gladys; and daughter, Mary Jane Nicholson. She will also be deeply missed by her grandchildren, Ryann, Camryn, River, Lake and Aspen; and brother, Teofilo De La Cruz, along with a host of very close cousins, nephews, nieces, and other extended relatives and friends.

A visitation will be held at the Piscataway Funeral Home, 18 Stelton Road, Piscataway, NJ on Sunday, July 13, 2025, from 12PM to 4PM.

A funeral mass will be celebrated at Our Lady of Mount Virgin Church, 600 Harris Avenue, Middlesex, NJ, on Monday, July 14, 2025, at 11 AM.  Family and friends are invited to gather at the funeral home prior to mass, beginning at 9:45 AM.

Entombment will take place following mass, at Resurrection Burial Park, 899 E. Lincoln Avenue, Piscataway, NJ.

In lieu of flowers, the Sabale family has requested that donations be made to Our Lady of Mount Virgin Church, in Narcisa’s name.
