Bridgewater – Michele Maria Barone, 70, passed away peacefully Thursday, July 3, 2025. Born and raised in Middlesex, Michele was a proud graduate of Middlesex High School, class of 1973, and a devoted communicant of Our Lady of Mount Virgin Church.

Michele pursued a journalism degree at Boston University before embarking on a career with the New Brunswick Police Department. Later, she dedicated herself to her family's business as a hardworking owner and operator of B & B Nursery in Bridgewater. Her commitment to education lived on through her establishment of a nursing scholarship in honor of her mother, which continues to flourish today.

Michele found great joy in spending time at her residence on Marco Island, Florida—her beloved "happy place"—where she enjoyed relaxing on the beach and basking in the sun. She was also known for her love of animals and her passion for reading.

Michele  was predeceased by her parents, Samuel and Kathleen Barone, and two brothers, Edward Barone and John Barone. She is survived by her cousins: Maria Goss and husband Richard, Robert Barone and wife Pamela, and Don Barone and wife Angela, along with additional cousins, extended family, and friends.

A funeral mass will be held on Thursday, July 17, 2025, at 10:30  AM in Our Lady of Mount Virgin  Church, 600 Harris Avenue, Middlesex, NJ 08846. Following the mass, burial will take place at Resurrection Burial Park, Piscataway.

Michele’s warmth, dedication, and love for life will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
