
Obituary of Jack A Muhlhahn
Jack Muhlhahn passed away on Friday July 11, 2025. He was 85 years old. Jack was currently a resident at Fellowship Manor in Whitehall, Pennsylvania. However, he had previously resided in Piscataway, New Jersey for more than 40 years. Jack was a graduate of Don Bosco Technical Institute in Teaneck, New Jersey. His career was spent working as an electrical engineer at Union Carbide for many decades before they were taken over by DOW chemical. He then retired in the early 2000s, and enjoyed many years of retirement with his family.
Jack had many hobbies that he enjoyed. These hobbies included fishing, building model railroads and airplanes, collecting and building antique radios, and traveling down the shore with his family. In his younger years, he also enjoyed volunteering his time as a firefighter. Jack especially loved being an Amateur radio operator. He made many friends who were fellow ham radio operators, and was an active member of the Piscataway club. Jack also really got a kick out of making others laugh, and was always quick to tell a joke or share a funny story. His wit and sense of humor will be missed.
Jack was predeceased by his loving wife Sandy, his parents William & Mildred, his brothers Billy & Bobby, and his son Richard. Surviving are his son Kevin Muhlhahn, his daughter Christina Lucas, his son Glen Gillish and his wife Carolyn, his daughter Stephanie Robbins, and his daughter Jacqueline Tosh. Jack’s life with live on through his six amazing grand children: CarolAnn, Teddy, Alex, Matt, Madison, and Brandon. He will also be lovingly remembered and adored by his sister, Ellen Mumme.
Jack’s visitation will be on Monday July 21st from 3-6pm at the McCriskin-Gustafson Home for Funerals, 2425 Plainfield Ave., South Plainfield, NJ 07080. There will be a private burial for the family on Tuesday July 22nd at Resurrection Burial Park in Piscataway.
In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting donations to help fight Alzheimer’s. Donations can be made to the Alzheimer’s Association at donorservices.alz.org
