Obituary of Lisa B Schill
Lisa B. Schill, 61, passed away on Tuesday, July 15, 2025, at Overlook Hospital in Summit, NJ.
Born in Plainfield, NJ, Lisa grew up in South Plainfield, graduating from South Plainfield High School. Through the years, she held various positions with various companies. With each job, she typically made a friend that became a lifelong friend and has built a large group of people close to her over the years.
Outside of work, Lisa enjoyed traveling, especially to New Orleans, a place that has grown close to her heart, going on cruises, and attending concerts, particularly Hail Storm, Ozzy Osbourne, and Trans-Siberian Orchestra. On her first cruise, she fell in love with the artwork of Zoé Mac, and through her husband Brain purchasing a piece of her artwork as a wedding present, Lisa became close with Zoé, and Zoé has since become a close family friend.
Above all else, Lisa loved to be with her family. Whether it was traveling or going to concerts with Brian, or being with her niece, Rhianna, or Rhianna's children, Lisa cherished every moment with them. The daily phone calls and lengthy text messages will be something her entire family will miss dearly.
Predeceased by her father, James DiPoala, Lisa will be deeply missed by her husband, Brian Schill, mother Sandra Dougherty, and niece, Rhianna, and her children Ghianna, Lilith, Tahlia, and Atreus. She is also survived by her brothers, Christopher and his wife Pam, and JB, niece Sophia, step-son Keith Hornberger and his children Brycen and Kenzie, and a host of extended relatives and friends.
A visitation will be held at the McCriskin – Gustafson Home for Funerals, 2425 Plainfield Avenue, South Plainfield, NJ, Sunday, July 20, 2025, from 12 PM to 3 PM.
Funeral services will be held in the funeral home on Sunday, July 20, 2025, beginning at 2:45 PM.
Following the services, a private burial will take place at Holy Redeemer Cemetery and Mausoleum, South Plainfield, NJ.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital in Lisa’s name.
