Obituary of Antonia M Mocharski

South Plainfield - Antonia “Toni” M. (Enea) Mocharski, 95, passed away early Friday morning, July 25, 2025 at her daughter’s home in Georgia.

Born and raised in Newark, Toni settled to South Plainfield in 1960. Predominately a homemaker through her life Toni volunteered her time as leader of the Girl Scouts.

She was a long time communicant of Scared Heart RC Church and belonged to their Altar Rosary Society.  Toni also assisted with Lenten Fish dinners and the church’s annual festival.  

She is predeceased by her husband; John, daughter; Dianne Seesselberg; daughter in law, Pamela Mocharski and four siblings; Peter Enea, Frank Enea, Anita Tribuna and John Enea.

Surviving are four children; Lauren Harding and her husband of Glenn of Piscataway, Leslie Wengenroth and her husband Dave of Lawrenceville, GA, John R. Mocharski of South Plainfield and James Mocharski (Andi) of Columbus, OH.  She will also be missed by thirteen grandchildren, including her granddaughter Roni who has taken exceptional care of her Nana over the last five years and four great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, August 1, 2025 at 9AM in the McCriskin - Gustafson Home for Funerals, 2425 Plainfield Avenue, South Plainfield NJ 07080 by a 10AM funeral mass in Sacred Heart RC Church, South Plainfield.

Interment will follow in Holy Redeemer Cemetery, South Plainfield.

Family and friends may attend visitation on Thursday, July 31, 2025 from 4PM – 8PM in the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to either the South Plainfield Volunteer Fire Department, 123 Maple Avenue South Plainfield or to Sacred Heart RC Church, 149 South Plainfield Avenue, South Plainfield.
