Obituary of Steven A. Cerrat

Steven A. Cerrat, 58, passed away on Monday, August 4, 2025 at the Mountainside Skilled Nursing and Rehab in Mountainside.

Born in Bayonne, New Jersey, Steve was a lifelong resident of Middlesex, New Jersey.

A graduate of Middlesex High School, Steve was employed as a plumber at the family business, Rossi Plumbing Heating & Cooling.

Steve was loved by many and a devoted family man whose love and loyalty knew no bounds. Always dependable and generous, he was the person you could call for anything, and he would drop everything to be there without question. His passion for sports, especially the Mets and Giants, was a defining part of who he was, bringing joy and laughter to those around him. Above all, Steve’s greatest pride was his family. His unwavering support, kindness, and presence will be forever cherished and deeply missed. 

He is survived by his daughters, Stephanie and Danielle Cerrat both of Bridgewater; mother, Ann Marie Cerrat of Middlesex and brother, Craig Cerrat and his wife Kimberley; niece and nephew, Alexandria and Nicholas Cerrat of Middlesex. Also surviving are several extended relatives and friends.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, August 7, 2025 from 5-8pm in the Middlesex Funeral Home 528 Bound Brook Rd. Middlesex, NJ 08846.

The funeral service will be held on Friday, August 8, 2025 beginning at 11 AM at the funeral home.

Immediately following the funeral service, Steve will be laid to rest at Resurrection Burial Park, Piscataway, NJ.
