Steve,
As we grow older and our lives change, we tend to see less of our friends but we never lose that bond that we all had for each other. We recently had some time connecting at your niece's and my daughters wedding, and it was like we last saw each other yesterday.
I will remember:
Squirrel hunting in the Quibbletown woods
Stealing your brothers car from the high school parking lot
Road trips to Great Adventure and Camping in the Pine Barrens
Riding go-karts in the farmers field
Looking back at all the memories of our younger years will always bring a smile to my face and I will remember them forever.
So Steve, I will open a beer and listen to “Get Yer Ya Ya’s Out” and remember the good times hanging out in your Attic. God bless you and the Hunter Family and may you rest in peace my friend.

What I remember most is being at the Edly farm with our other cousins. We had fabulous picnics and lots of fun. You were always kind and cordial to me. I know my brothers will also miss you. May you rest in peace. I love you.
Your cousin,
Karen.

I can’t believe you are not here with us anymore, but I hope so much that you are comfortable and at peace now. So many of my childhood memories are hanging out at Grandma Hunter’s house with you, or summer picnics at your house. You were always there to talk to and make us laugh. We love you so much. Livi, Chris, and Jude.

You were one of my first childhood friends as well as my cousin. We had many adventures together and made memories that are cherished. I know you are at the big family picnic with our parents and others who have gone before us. I will miss you dearly, but will see you again one day. Love your cousin Tina

I’ve always thought of Steven Hunter as more than a family friend—he’s always been an uncle to me. The Hunters have been part of my life for as long as I can remember, and I’ve always considered them family. I grew up hearing my dad and uncles tell story after story from their teenage years with Uncle Steven—tales full of laughter, mischief, and the kind of adventures that became legendary in our family. Those stories came up at almost every family party, and no matter how many times we heard them, they only got funnier with each retelling.
Uncle Steven, I hope you knew the joy and light you brought into so many lives. Your kindness, humor, and presence made this world better for everyone who knew you. You will be deeply missed, but your stories, laughter, and spirit will live on with us. Rest easy, Uncle. Love you always.
