Obituary of Jennifer Dailey
Jennifer Dailey, 51, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, August 13, 2025, at Overlook Medical Center in Summit, following a courageous 13-year battle with breast cancer.
Born in New York City to Romeo and Mary Mondero, Jennifer and her family initially resided in Jersey City before settling in Middlesex in 1985. She graduated from Middlesex High School and began her college journey at Rutgers University. She later transferred to Seton Hall University, where she earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing.
Jennifer started her nursing career at St. Peter’s University Hospital in New Brunswick but found her calling at the Planned Parenthood Clinic in Manville. For more than 10 years, she served with dedication and compassion, eventually becoming Clinic Supervisor. After stepping away from her nursing career, Jennifer embraced the most meaningful role of all—being a devoted mother to her two beloved children, Ethan and Ava.
Family and friends were at the heart of Jennifer’s life. Whether she was shopping, hosting gatherings, or spending cherished days at the family’s vacation home in Pennsylvania, Jennifer found joy in togetherness. She loved holidays and being the biggest cheerleader and supporter for her family and friends.
Through her long and brave journey with breast cancer, Jennifer remained an unwavering source of strength and inspiration. She believed deeply in the power of connection and support, founding a support group for young women diagnosed with breast cancer, and Faith and Hope, a Facebook community where she openly shared her experiences. Through these platforms, Jennifer touched countless lives, offering hope, faith, and inspiration to others.
Jennifer’s faith in God never wavered. She put her trust in God’s hands to help her participate in family events, shape her children’s lives and experience so much more in life than the odds gave her.
Jennifer will be remembered for her resilience, warmth, and the love she poured into every aspect of her life. Her legacy lives on in the people she uplifted, the family she adored, and the groups she founded. Her positive energy, magnetic personality and empathetic character attracted countless people that love and admire her.
Jennifer is survived by her loving husband of 24 years, James Dailey; her two children, Ethan and Ava; and her parents, Romeo and Mary Mondero. She will also be deeply missed by her brothers, Melvin Mondero and his wife Cynthia, and Robert Mondero and his wife Angela. Also Leticia Guanlao, Farrah Molfetta, Rai Guanlao, along with a host of extended relatives and friends.
