Obituary of Ursula J. Maloney
Ursula (Steinbrueck) Maloney, 78, of Bridgewater, NJ, passed away peacefully on September 14, 2025. She was born on August 6, 1947, in Glauchau, Germany, to the late Gertraude and Otto Steinbrueck.
She is survived by her devoted husband of 43 years, Richard Maloney; her loving sisters, Regina Van Herpen (Nick) and Helga Dowds (Edward); and her caring brother, Rolf Steinbrueck (Martina). She also leaves behind dear nieces Michelle Stephan (Reinhard), Ines Bartlakowsi (Karsten), Gina Hernandez (David) and loving nephews Anthony Maiorano (Jennylyn), Kevin Van Herpen, Beanno Bartlakowski, Willi Bartlakowski, and John Maloney IV; as well as many grandnieces/nephews and great-grand nieces/nephews. In addition, Ursula leaves behind a circle of dear friends who will remember her warmth, kindness, and generosity.
Before retirement, she had a successful 25 year career as a Supervisor with the CBS Book Division (Quality Control) in Manhattan, NYC. She was a valued employee with excellent work ethics.
Ursula will be fondly remembered for her joy in gathering with family and friends, her love of going out to dinner and Atlantic City, and her thoughtful way of remembering everyone on the holidays and their birthdays. Her generous spirit, gentle presence, good and kind heart, and insightful ways will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

Family and friends are invited to celebrate Ursula’s life on Friday, September 19, 2025, at Middlesex Funeral Home, 528 Bound Brook Road, Middlesex, NJ 08846. Visitation will be held from 3:00–6:00 p.m., with a service beginning at 5:45 p.m.
Her light will live on in the hearts of all who loved her.
