Obituary of Carmelo Greco
With heavy hearts, we regret to inform you of the passing of Carmelo Greco, 53, who suddenly died on September 19, 2025 at his home in Piscataway, NJ. He is survived by his loving parents Domenico and Rosa Greco, his sister Triestina Greco, his brother Domenico (“Mimmo”) Greco, Jr., many close relatives, cherished friends, two goddaughters, and people who simply loved him for the person he was.
Carmelo worked as a mason contractor, proudly working alongside his father in running the family construction business. Committed to doing things the right way, he was dedicated, responsible, and loyal to his craft, just as he was with his family and friends. His strong work and family values were the foundation of how he carried himself and treated others. Often regarded in high esteem, he made time for the simple and important things in life, such as stopping to talk to a neighbor, checking in on others, Sunday dinner with his family, being the first to help someone in need, and always displaying a friendly demeanor, to name a few.
He was a huge sports fanatic with a passion and skill for playing soccer which began at a young age and continued into adulthood. His love for the sport was influenced by his family’s heritage, and he brought talent and heart to every practice and game he ever played. He was a tried and true fan of the Juventus soccer team. He was also a die-hard fan of the Pittsburgh Steelers, often sporting the team’s black and yellow clothing with loyalty and pride. Watching them play, especially with his family and friends was a bond he loved with the people he loved.
His heart and soul was his family, deeply valuing tradition and closeness. He will forever be missed in our hearts but always held near and dear. Rest in heavenly peace our beloved son, dear brother, and friend.
