Obituary of Eileen Galletley
Eileen Galletley, 94, of Piscataway, New Jersey, passed away on September 23, 2025 at Parker at River Road in Piscataway.
Born on September 23, 1931, to the late Francis V. Williams and Kathleen Judge Williams, Eileen attended Fontbonne Hall and graduated from Bay Ridge High Schools, Class of 1949.
Eileen began her career with the Social Services Department of the City of New York in 1965 as a Clerk Typist, working her way to an Office Manager, and retired in 1992.
Following her retirement, Eileen settled in Piscataway, NJ, where she enjoyed her family, chauffeuring her grandchildren, and socializing with her friends from her bowling league, Senior Citizens Center, Red Hats and the Golden Girls.
Eileen is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, James; son James; siblings Frank Williams, Kathleen Kryston, Eleanor McKinney and Robert Williams, as well as her very special friend, John Boyle.
She is survived by her children, Kathy (Paul) Warren, Maryann (Ron) Johnson, and John (Rosanna) Galletley; grandchildren, Michelle (Stefan), Edward (Ale), Richard (Renee), Faith (Dave), James and John Jr.; and her Great Grandchildren, Maddox, Max, Mia, Gideon, Alina and Juliette, along with a host of extended relatives and friends.
A visitation will be held at McCriskin - Gustafson Home for Funerals, 2425 Plainfield Avenue, South Plainfield, NJ, on Thursday, September 25, 2025, from 4 PM to 8 PM.
A funeral mass will be held at Our Lady of Fatima R.C. Church, 501 New Market Road, Piscataway, NJ, on Friday, September 26, 2025 at 10 AM. Family and friends are invited to gather at the funeral home prior to mass, beginning at 9:15 AM.
Following mass, burial will take place at Long Island National Cemetery, in Farmingdale, NY
In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that donations be made to The Alzheimer’s Association, in Eileen’s name.
