Marlene Dias Obituary

Marlene Dias, 77, passed away on Wednesday, October 8, 2025, at JFK Medical Center in Edison, NJ.


Born to the late Andrew and Margaret Pastor, Marlene grew up in Hopelawn, NJ, before settling in Keasbey where she raised her three children. She later relocated to Colonia, where she has been a resident for over 20 years.


Marlene’s grandchildren and great grandchildren meant the world to her, whether it was attending sporting events, finishing a jigsaw puzzle together, one of Marlene’s favorite hobbies, or just spending time relaxing, the moments spent with her family were the ones she held closest to her heart.


Predeceased by her husbands, Joseph Selensky in 1986, and Robert Dias in 2018, and grandson Anthony, Marlene is survived by her children, Michael (Kari) Selensky, Dawn Selensky, and Joseph (Tina) Selensky, and grandchildren, Michael, Jacob, and Morgan. She will also be deeply missed by her seven great grandchildren, as well as a host of extended relatives and friends.


Cremation services were held privately through the McCriskin – Gustafson Home for Funerals.
