Grace V. Kovach, 99, passed away peacefully Tuesday evening, November 4, 2025 at Bridgeway Care Center in Hillsborough. 

Born in Triadelphia, West Virginia, Grace lived through almost a century of history. She was born during the Great Depression and experienced the many milestones of the 20th and early 21st centuries, including World War II, Korea, Vietnam, the moon landing, the Civil Rights Movement, the fall of the Berlin Wall, and September 11th. A dedicated resident of Middlesex Borough, she lovingly raised her children in a community she cherished and devoted much of her life to.

A hardworking woman, Grace was employed in the installation department at Verizon in Somerville. Her caring nature was evident in her daily life; she often thought of others before herself and was known for her generosity and kindness.

Grace adored her family—her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren—and her love for them was unwavering. She enjoyed listening to traditional country music, yellow roses and was a passionate Pittsburgh Steelers fan. An exceptional cook, she was famous for her stuffed cabbage and delicious cream puffs, which brought joy to many family gatherings.

Grace’s warmth, love, and spirit will be dearly missed, but her legacy of kindness and devotion will remain forever in the hearts of those she touched.

Predeceased by her husband of 33 years who passed away in the 1970’s, Charles Kovach; grandson, Brian Neely as well as her eight siblings.

Surviving are her children, Charles Kovach and wife Joan, Linda Neely and husband Robert, Sandra Reedy and James Kovach and wife Cathy. She will also be missed by her grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Family and friends may gather on Monday, November 10, 2025 in the Middlesex Funeral Home, 528 Bound Brook Road Middlesex NJ 08846 from 5-8PM.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, November 11, 2025 at 10AM, gathering at the funeral home prior to services at 9:30AM.

Burial will follow in Bound Brook Cemetery, Bound Brook.
