Obituary of Norma S. DeChaves
Norma S. DeChaves, 91, passed away on Sunday, December 7, 2025 at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital in New Brunswick.
Born and raised in Davao City, Philippines, Norma resided in Manilla, prior to settling to Piscataway, New Jersey in 1985.
Predeceased by her husband, Antonio Durante Sr., son, Antonio “Tony Boy” Durante Jr.. Surviving are her daughters, Antoniette “Girlie” Elegado and Arlene D. Snyder; six grandchildren, five great grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild.
Visitation will be held in the South Plainfield Funeral Home 2456 Plainfield Ave. South Plainfield, NJ 07080 on Thursday, December, 11, 2025 and Friday, December 12, 2025 from 4-8pm.
The funeral mass will be held on Saturday, December 13, 2025 at 11am at St. Frances Cabrini RC Church, Piscataway.
Immediately following mass, Norma will be entombed at Resurrection Burial Park, Piscataway, NJ.
