
Obituary of Louis Emery Johnson
Louis Emery Johnson, of Womelsdorf PA, passed away on December 10th 2025 in Holmdel NJ, at the age of 85, after a long battle with Alzheimer’s disease.
Born on December 28th 1939 in Washington NJ, he was the youngest son of the late Norman and Alice Johnson. Louis spent his early years in Washington before relocating with his family to Philipsburg NJ in 1952.
In 1960, Louis entered the United States Air Force, proudly serving his country for eight years and achieving the rank of Staff Sergeant. He met the love of his life MaryAnn (Lemmo) Johnson and married in 1972. They moved to Las Vegas in 1974, where he worked as a mechanic for a decade. In 1984, he began his career as a corrections officer with the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department, retiring in 1997. Louis and MaryAnn later settled in Womelsdorf PA to be closer to his grandchildren.
Louis was a member of Heritage United Methodist Church in Las Vegas. He had many passions throughout his life, including trains—especially those of the Jersey Central line—woodworking, M*A*S*H, gambling, building and framing intricate puzzles.
He is survived by his daughter, Wanda Jean Plock, of Middlesex NJ; his grandson, Louis Plock, of Branchburg NJ; his granddaughter, Melissa Plock, and her significant other, Daniel Howard, of Asbury NJ; and his nephew, Bobby Wise and wife, Mary, and their daughter, Brionna Wise, of Easton PA.
Louis was predeceased by his wife MaryAnn (Lemmo) Johnson in 2013, parents Norman Sr. Johnson and Alice Fenwick; his brothers, Norman Jr. and Robert; and his sister, Peggy Spaziani.
Visitation will be held on Monday, December 15 2025 from 4 - 7pm at The Middlesex Funeral Home, 528 Bound Brook Road, Middlesex, NJ.
Interment will take place on Tuesday, December 16 2025 at 12 noon at Northampton Memorial Shrine in Easton, PA.
