Obituary of Courtney Bradley
Courtney Oliver Bradley, 61, of South Plainfield, New Jersey, completed his life’s journey on December 24, 2025, surrounded by love, gratitude, and the people who mattered most to him.
Born on April 13, 1964, in Newark, New Jersey, Courtney lived a life defined by quiet strength, steady kindness, and unwavering devotion to family. For more than 35 years, he built a respected career as EWR FedEx Team Leader, earning the trust of colleagues through integrity, humility, and genuine care for others.
Above all else, Courtney cherished being a husband, father, godfather and uncle. He found happiness in everyday moments—taking care of his family, preparing great meals, dependability at work, pride of ownership of his home, watching football games at his son’s schools and in front of his giant television with family and friends, fishing, attending car shows, enjoying music, and travel.
Courtney’s life continues through those he loved: his wife of 30 years, Tara Bradley; his sons, Douglas and Marquise Bradley; an aunt and a host of siblings, cousins, in-laws, nieces, nephews, godchildren, colleagues and friends whose lives he quietly enriched.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Arnold and Willi Lou Bradley, and his brother, James Cheatham.
A Celebration of Life gathering will be held for his birthday in 2026, to share stories, laughter, and memories that reflect a life well lived.
