I met Matthew through two weaving guilds, the Garden State Weavers and the Jockey Hollow Weavers. Matthew was an enthusiastic participant, whose smile and warmth added much to the groups. The last time I saw him was at the Jockey Hollow Weavers' annual sale, this past November. He will be missed.

I had the pleasure of meeting Matt through my friend Ellen. I will always cherish the times we painted together. The pure joy he had when we were creating art was infectious. I will truly miss teaching him. His love of life was something to see. He laughed and enjoyed creating. I will miss his humor and his love of life. This was a picture of one of the art lessons we enjoyed together. Till we paint again my friend. God bless Matt and may you rest in peace.
