Obituary of Robert F. Perrette

Robert F. Perrette, 91, passed away on Saturday, February 7, 2026, at home in South Plainfield, NJ.

Born in Plainfield, NJ to the late Ethel (nee James) and Richard Perrette, Robert was one of 25 children and has been a lifelong resident of South Plainfield.

For over 30 years, Robert worked for Asplundh Tree Expert Company, retiring in 2002 at 65 years old. Outside of work, he struggled to sit still. Robert could often be found working around the house or in the yard, and when there wasn’t much there to do, he was no stranger to helping others. Many times he would help friends and family with work on their house, and sometimes found people working on a project and offered his assistance. Above all else, he cherished his time with his family, especially his children and grandchildren.

Predeceased by his wife, Patricia Perrette, Robert is survived by his children, Guy (Barbara) Perrette, Glen (Debbie) Perrette, Dawn Susen, and Donegal Mac Ewyn (Kristina O'Brion) He will also be missed by his grandchildren, Matt, Phillip (Allegra), Christopher (Jessica), Collin, and Shari (Jimmy); sister Dottie, and a host of extended relatives and friends.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, February 12, 2026 from 10:30am – 12:30pm in the McCriskin – Gustafson Home for Funerals 2425 Plainfield Ave. South Plainfield, NJ 07080.

Immediately following the visitation, Robert will be entombed at Graceland Memorial Park, Kenilworth.

In lieu of flowers, the Perrette family has requested that donations be made to Hope 4 Paws Humane Society, 75 Rock Avenue, Plainfield, NJ, in Robert’s name.
