Obituary of Carrie D'Amico
Carrie (nee Gaspari) D’Amico, 100, passed away on Monday, February 9,2026, at her home in Middlesex, NJ.
Born in Bound Brook, NJ, to the late Filipa (nee D’Ali) and Frank Gaspari, Carrie was raised in Middlesex, surrounded by families of Italian Immigrants, just like her parents. Once old enough to work, she began working for Oil is Bearing in Middlesex, where they made bearings for airplanes during World War II. It was here that she meant Dominic D’Amico at a work picnic, despite him not working there, and the two were later married. They remained in Middlesex, raising their two children, Linda and Beverly, and even after Dominic’s passing in 1989, Carrie remained in the home her husband built until her passing.
A devout Catholic, Carrie was an active parishioner of Our Lady of Mount Virgin Church in Middlesex, and, later in life, would rarely be seen without her rosary beads in hand. She not only practiced the catholic faith but lived the teachings. She was a selfless woman, always helping others and never wanting for herself. For 25 years, she worked tirelessly volunteering her time to help raise money for the Deborah Heart and Lung Association.
Above all else, she cherished time spent with her family. Family gatherings and holidays were of the most importance, but she was always prepared and appreciated a drop in. Should anyone stop by, coffee and cake were ready and out on the table no long after their arrival. Carrie will be remembered for her loyalty, generosity, and witty humor.
Predeceased by her parents, siblings, and loving husband, Dominic D’Amico, Carrie will be deeply missed by her daughters, Linda and Beverly; grandchildren, Rebecca, Devin and Emma and three great grandchildren, Joshua, Ben and Tristan. She is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews, as well as a host of extended relatives and friends.
A funeral mass will be celebrated at Our Lady of Mount Virgin Church, 600 Harris Avenue, Middlesex, NJ, on Friday, February 13, 2026, at 11 AM.
Following mass, burial will take place at Resurrection Burial Park, 899 E. Lincoln Avenue, Piscataway, NJ.
