
Obituary of Stephen Condrack
Stephen Condrack, 72, passed away on Monday, February 9, 2026, at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital at Somerset in Somerville, NJ .
Steve was born on June 23, 1953 in Three Springs, PA, son of Michael J. and Joy A. (Lane) Condrack, he was raised in Mount Union, PA and settled in Piscataway, NJ in 1991.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his brother David Condrack and sister Cathy Grove (Condrack).
Steve was an avid outdoorsman, enjoying hunting and fishing, classic car shows, a good flea market and horse racing. He was especially proud of his vegetable garden, and his wide variety of peppers and tomatoes, which were known to be extra delicious and enjoyed by all. Steve’s strong work ethic led him to many interesting jobs as a young person, including a local pool hall, a movie theater and especially he loved the fruit market.
As an adult, he was a heavy equipment operator for Jesco and professional truck driver for Conagra Foods for 17 years and later Aaron and Company until his retirement. Steve will be remembered for how proud he was for the life he had built, his fondness for his hometown, his simple outlook on life and genuine personality.
In addition, Steve was a member of the Mount Union, Pennsylvania American Legion but as a resident of Piscataway he frequented the South Plainfield American Legion Post 243 and he was also a member of the South Plainfield BPOE Lodge #2298.
Surviving are his life partner, Laurie Manfra of Piscataway, sister, LeRonda Glunt of Orbisonia, PA and brother Robert Condrack of Mount Union, PA. Also surviving are a host of nieces, nephews, extended relatives, neighbors and friends, who will all miss him dearly.
His loyal companion, Lacey Lu, his best beagle girl, who he rescued 5 years ago, was always by his side and will miss their special car rides, neighborhood walks and treats.
The visitation will be held on Sunday, February 15, 2026 from 1-5pm with funeral service beginning in 3PM in the McCrisken-Gustafson Home for Funerals, 2425 Plainfield Ave., South Plainfield, NJ 07080. Cremation services will take place privately.
