Please share a memory of Ramona to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.

Ramona Roldan Mojo entered eternal rest on February 12, 2026, in Edison, New Jersey, surrounded by the love of her daughters.

Born in San Lorenzo, Puerto Rico, Ramona carried the warmth, strength, and traditions of her homeland in her heart throughout her life. She came to the United States as a young child and was raised on the Lower East Side of Manhattan, where she learned the values of perseverance, faith, and family that would guide her for the rest of her days. She later made Edison, New Jersey her home, where she lived for more than 40 years, creating a life rich in love, purpose, and devotion.

Ramona dedicated her professional life to serving others. She worked as an administrator for Sleep Health in Lakewood, New Jersey until her retirement in 2018, and previously spent 15 years at Middlesex Oncology. She brought compassion, kindness, and dignity to her work, always treating others with empathy and care.

Her greatest joy and proudest accomplishment was her family. Ramona was a devoted mother and a deeply loving grandmother whose presence brought comfort, strength, and unconditional love. She had a vibrant spirit and found joy in music, dance, and especially cooking. Her kitchen was the heart of her home, where she expressed her love through food. She owned and operated several small boutique businesses, including Ramona’s Chocolate and Basket Design, Ronnie Kneads Dough, and Mona’s Sofrito. Her recipes, treasured family secrets, are a lasting gift that will continue through generations. She also shared her passion by teaching cooking alongside David Martone in Westfield, touching many lives with her generosity and talent.

Ramona was welcomed into Heaven by her beloved grandson, Carmelo James Del Rio, and her siblings, Cecelia Arroyo and Miguel Roldan.

She leaves behind her loving daughters and sons-in-law, Sara Vasquez Del Rio and her husband David Del Rio, and Danielle Mojo and her husband Michael Madrigal. She was the proud and adoring grandmother of Niko, Nena, Juliette, and Jacob, who were the light of her life. She is also survived by her cherished sisters, Marie Abascal, Lydia Roldan, Carmen Delia Roldan, and Selenia Roldan, along with many beloved nieces, nephews, relatives, and lifelong friends.

Ramona was a woman of deep faith, strength, and grace. Her love was constant, her presence comforting, and her legacy everlasting. Though she is no longer with us in body, her spirit lives on in every meal shared, every song played, every dance enjoyed, and every moment of love between her family.

Her family invites loved ones to celebrate her life at a Funeral Mass at Sacred Heart Church in South Plainfield, New Jersey at 10:00 a.m. sharp In accordance with Ramona’s wishes, there will be no public wake or burial service, and she will be privately cremated.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her memory to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital at stjude.org.

Ramona’s life was a blessing. Her memory a treasure. She was loved beyond words and will be missed beyond measure forever!
