Obituary of Mark Dykeman

Please share a memory of Mark to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.

Mark Dykeman, 63, passed away suddenly at home on Wednesday, February 18, 2026.

Born in Jersey City, Mark was raised in Carteret before settling in Middlesex in 2004. Mark had an appreciation for life’s finer pleasures — enjoying a good cigar, classic cars, Broadway plays, and evenings at the opera. He was a devoted fan of the New Jersey Devils and especially cherished attending games with his daughter. Mark loved classical music and could often be found at concerts shared with friends and family.

An avid motorcyclist, Mark enjoyed riding and taking long drives, as well as spending time outdoors on walks and hikes throughout New Jersey and New York. Whether fixing a machine or relaxing over a meal at a local restaurant — often while wearing his Quinnipiac hat — Mark found joy in the simple moments. Though a private man by nature, he was always willing to lend a helping hand to those in need.

Predeceased by his parents, Mark is survived by his beloved wife, Denise; his daughter, Becca Dykeman; and his brothers, Robert and his wife Dawn and Paul.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, February 25, 2026, beginning at 4:00 PM, followed by a 7:30 PM funeral service at Middlesex Funeral Home, 528 Bound Brook Road, Middlesex, NJ.

Cremation services will take place privately.
