Arturo D. Sambat, 80, passed away Tuesday, February 24, 2026 at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital in New Brunswick.

Born and raised in the Philippines, Arturo immigrated to the United States in the early 1970s, initially settling in New York. In the mid-1980s, he made Edison his home with his beloved wife, Eden, where he resided until his passing.

Arturo most recently worked at TD Bank prior to his retirement. He found joy in bowling, fishing, dancing the hustle, and taking walks at the mall. A karaoke enthusiast, he especially loved singing his own renditions to "House of the Rising Sun" and "My Way."

Surviving are his wife, Eden Sambat and daughter Angelica, and also his children MaryRose, Kathlyn, and John. He is pre-deceased by his son Richie Sambat. He will also be missed by his seven adored grandchildren.

Visitation will take place on Friday, March 6, 2026 from 5 - 8 p.m. in the McCriskin – Gustafson Home for Funerals, 2425 Plainfield Avenue, South Plainfield, New Jersey.

A funeral mass will be held on Saturday, March 7, 2026 at 9AM in St. Francis of Assisi Cathedral in Metuchen, New Jersey, followed by entombment at Woodbridge Memorial Park, Woodbridge.
