Middlesex, NJ – Mary T. (Widly) Ellis, 95, passed away peacefully on April 11, 2024 at St. Peters University Hospital in New Brunswick surrounded by her family.  Born in Eatontown to the late George and Mary (Neunan) Widly, Mary resided in New Brunswick for a short time prior to settling in Middlesex in 1963.

 

Mary retired in 1995 from St. Peter’s University Hospital in New Brunswick where she was employed as a nurse and finished her career in Staff Development.  Mary was a communicant of Our Lady of Mount Virgin Church in Middlesex.  She had a love for reading, the beach and spending time in her garden, but the biggest joy in her life was spending time with her grandchildren. 

 

Predeceased by her husband Charles in 1995, beloved daughter Cindy in 2005 and brother George in 2024, Mary is survived by her daughter Mary C. Seibert of Easton, PA and three grandchildren; Meghan, Sean and Patrick.

 

Visitation will be held at Middlesex Funeral Home, 528 Bound Brook Road, Middlesex, NJ 08846 on Wednesday, April 17, 2024 from 5pm until 8pm.  Relatives and friends may attend a 10:30am funeral mass at Our Lady of Mount Virgin Church, 600 Harris Avenue, Middlesex, NJ 08846 on Thursday, April 18, 2024 with burial to follow next to her husband at Resurrection Burial Park in Piscataway.
