Dorothy J. Gaspari, 90, passed away on Thursday, December 7, 2017 at home.
Born in Plainfield, Mrs. Gaspari resided in Middlesex prior to settling to South Plainfield many years ago.
Dorothy was instrumental in assisting her late husband Peter operate their family business, the former Dial Construction in South Plainfield.
Dorothy had a fulfilled life, and all who knew her were touched by her giving nature and self-less acts of kindness and love. She was a devoted wife, nurturing mother, and loving grandmother.
Dorothy was admired for her unconditional love and her compassion to find the goodness in anyone who had ever met her. She always offered a wise and kindhearted word that touched the hearts and souls of everyone. She left people with hope and strength to believe in the happiness in their life. Her family can tell you first hand that she could re-tell a life story with grace and humor, and left you feeling captivated and entertained by her near perfect details of the event.
Dorothy was the foundation of her family that truly adored her. Not only did she raise her own children and grandchildren, but welcomed everyone with open arms and treated those close to her like family. Her love has grown to touch the lives of so many, and she will forever be remembered for her endless efforts to pay forward the goodness she felt in her heart. She will truly be missed.
Surviving are her daughters; Gail Kleinknecht, Ginger Gaspari, Gemma Bumback and Gina Sacco and her husband James and son Gary Gaspari all of South Plainfield, 12 grandchildren; Dawn, Jennifer, Tara, Anthony, Jay, Frank, George, Courtney, Ashleigh, Michael, Ryan and Gianna and two great grandchildren; Anthony and Erika.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, December 10, 2017 from 4-6pm in the funeral home.
Dorothy will be laid to rest on Monday, December 11, 2017 at Resurrection Burial Park, Piscataway
