Obituary of Evelyn Ahland

Evelyn Ahland, nee Bizup, 73, of South Plainfield, passed away peacefully on July 16, 2016 at Raritan Bay Medical Center in Old Bridge. Born in Plainfield and raised in Jersey City to the late Andrew and Evelyn Bizup, she settled in South Plainfield in 1970 where she resided for the past 45 years. Mrs. Ahland was a former communicant of Sacred Heart R.C. Church. She worked in the Fraud Department at AT&T in Bridgewater working closely with U.S. Marshalls in their investigations. Evelyn enjoyed the quality time spent with her family, especially her grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband William M. Ahland in 1983, and by her dear brother Bruce Bizup. Surviving are her loving children, Jeffrey M. Ahland and wife Linda, and Kimberly B. Kneller and husband Michael, her cherished grandchildren Faith, Garrett, Zoey, and Evan, and her dear siblings, Linda Bizup, and Richard Bizup and wife Rosie. Visitation will be held from 2:00 to 4:00PM and 6:00 to 9:00PM on Thursday, July 21, 2016 at the McCriskin-Gustafson Home for Funerals, 2425 Plainfield Avenue, South Plainfield. Funeral services will be held at 10:00AM on Friday, July 22nd 2016 at the funeral home, with interment to follow at Holy Redeemer Cemetery, South Plainfield
