Obituary of Ruth McArthur

South Plainfield - Ruth McArthur, 87, died Monday, August 14, 2017 after a lengthy illness. Born in New Brunswick, Ruth resided in North Plainfield before settling to South Plainfield in 1985. Ruth was the first woman office manager of Singer Sewing Machine Company. A member of St Paul Lutheran Church in Raritan, Ruth enjoyed bowling and sewing. Ruth also thoroughly enjoyed dancing. She will forever be remembered as a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother. Predeceased by her husband who died in 1988, Robert C. McArthur, surviving are her four children, Ruth Ann Rosetta and husband Thomas of Greensboro, NC, Joann Dalrymple and husband Robert of Milford, NJ, Gary Rosi of North Plainfield and David Rosi and wife Diane of Durham, NC; five grandchildren and eight great grandchildren. Funeral services will be on Friday, August 18, 2017 at 11AM in the McCriskin - Gustafson Home For Funerals, 2425 Plainfield Avenue South Plainfield NJ, followed by interment in Hillside Cemetery, Scotch Plains. Family and friends may join for visitation on Friday from 9-11AM in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, donations in Ruth's memory may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, P.O.
