Obituary of Thomas P. Nichuck

Thomas P. Nichuck, 62, passed away suddenly on Sunday, January 14, 2018. Born in Plainfield to the Late Edward and Margaret Nichuck, Tommy was raised in South Plainfield and resided in Piscataway before relocating back to South Plainfield in 2003. A talented musician at heart, Tommy earned his degree in music from the Berkeley College of Music. He followed his music passion turning it into a career. He served as the music teacher at several schools and churches in the central jersey area particularly, St. Frances Cabrini RC Church in Piscataway, St. John Vianney RC Church in Colonia and Sacred Heart RC Church in South Plainfield. Tommy was also a member of both, Sacred Heart RC Church and St. Frances Cabrini RC Church Choirs. In addition to playing or teaching music, Tommy enjoyed exercising, playing golf, spending time at Bradley Beach, reading and crossword puzzles but was exceptionally proud of keeping all belongings tidy and organized, especially his car. Surviving are his wife; Jill, daughter; Lauren Nichuck of Hickory, NC, son; Taylor and his wife Daniela of South Plainfield and brother; Edward and his wife Ginny of TN. Also surviving are several extended loving relatives and friends. Funeral Services will begin at 9:15am on Friday, January 19, 2018 in the McCriskin - Gustafson Home For Funerals 2425 Plainfield Ave. South Plainfield follow by a 10am funeral mass at Sacred Heart RC Church, South Plainfield. Interment will follow at Holy Redeemer Cemetery, South Plainfield. Visitation will be held on Thursday, January 18, 2018 from 6-9pm in the funeral home.
