Obituary of Brian J. Capparelli

South Plainfield - Brian J. Capparelli, 52, died on Monday, October 24, 2016 surrounded by his family at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital in New Brunswick. Born in Plainfield, Brian was a lifelong resident of South Plainfield. He was a graduate of St. Joe's High School Class of 1982 and the Univ. of Scranton Class of 1986 A member of the South Plainfield Lions Club, Brian was the owner of Cedarbook Landscaping and worked for Lordina Builders for over 30 years. He will be forever known as a selfless and kindhearted individual who often offered a lending hand to nearly anyone who was in need. He is predeceased by his father Tulio "Cappy" Capparelli and by his father in-law Lawrence "Budda" Massaro. Surviving are his wife and high school sweetheart Dina (Massaro); daughters, Jennifer, Ashley, and Cassie all of South Plainfield; mother, Prudence of South Plainfield; brothers, Robert and his wife Eileen of Barnegat and William of South Plainfield; sisters, Deborah of South Plainfield and Donna Hanley and her husband Frank of MD; mother in-law, Doris Massaro of South Plainfield; brother in-law, Lawrence Massaro Jr. and his wife Nancy of CA and sister in-law, Lorri Brown and her husband Aaron of FL. Also surviving are several extended loving relatives and dear friends. Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, October 29, 2016 at 9:30AM in the McCriskin - Gustafson Home For Funerals, 2425 Plainfield Ave., South Plainfield, NJ 07080 followed by a 10:30AM funeral mass at Sacred Heart RC Church, South Plainfield. Entombment will follow at Holy Redeemer Cemetery, South Plainfield. Visitation will be held on Friday, October 28, 2016 from 4-8PM in the funeral home.
