Obituary of Pauline P. Hasbrouck

Pauline Patricia Hasbrouck, nee Tietjen, 90, of South Plainfield, passed away peacefully on June 1, 2016 at home. Born and raised in Tampa, FL to the late Walter and Loretta Tietjen, she was a former resident of Newark, before moving to South Plainfield sixty years ago. Pauline enjoyed traveling with her husband and camping with her family. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother, who had a natural talent for sewing and most of all enjoyed the quality time spent with her family and friends. Pauline was a member of St. Stephen's Lutheran Church for the past 59 years. She was preceded in death by her dear brother, Thomas Tietjen. Surviving are her beloved husband of 67 years, Louis E. Hasbrouck, her loving children, Gail Merlo and husband Leonard, Randal Hasbrouck, Sharon Gianneschi and husband Frank, and Nancy Vega, her cherished 13 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. Visitation will be held Friday, June 3, 2016 from 4:00 to 8:00PM at the McCriskin-Gustafson Home for Funerals, 2425 Plainfield Avenue, South Plainfield. Funeral services will begin at 9:00AM at the funeral home, followed by a 10:00AM Funeral Liturgy at St. Stephen's Lutheran Church, 3145 Park Avenue, South Plainfield. Interment will follow at Cedar Grove Cemetery, Somerset. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Pauline's memory to St. Stephens Lutheran Church, at St. Stephen's Lutheran Church, 3145 Park Avenue, South Plainfield.
