Obituary of Metro Korinchock

Metro "Max" Korinchock, 91, passed away at home on Saturday, September 2, 2017. Born and raised in Delano, PA., Max relocated to Dunellen prior to settling to South Plainfield in 1951. He served in the U.S. Army during WWII and was honorably discharged on May 12, 1946. Max worked for Harris Structural Steel in South Plainfield as a head crane operator for over 40 years prior to his retirement. An avid musician, Mr. Korinchock was a highly talented and skilled Accordion player. Predeceased by his wife Florence and by all of his siblings, surviving are his three daughters, Janet Korinchock of Flanders, Sharon K. Renz and her husband Bill of Flemington and Jo Ann Kornblum and her husband Murray of Monroe. Cremation Services were held privately under the direction of the McCriskin - Gustafson Home For Funerals 2425 Plainfield Ave. South Plainfield, NJ 07080. Max's cremated remains along with his late wife Florence's remains will be laid to rest on Friday, September 8, 2017 privatley at Hillside Cemetery, Scotch Plains. At the request of Max's children, please refrain from sending flowers and make a donation in his memory to the New Jersey Veterans Memorial Home at Menlo Park, 132 Evergreen Rd. Edison, NJ 08818.
