Obituary of Saveria Esposito

Saveria Esposito, 88, passed away at her residence on Sunday, January 7, 2018. Born in Salerno, Italy to the late Anthony and Maria (Altavilla) Esposito, Saveria immigrated to New York in 1965 with her husband, Luigi and son, Anthony where they later settled in South Plainfield.
She spent her years as a seamstress and on the assembly line for a magnet shop located in South Plainfield, but she was most dedicated to being a homemaker caring for her family. Saveria also had a passion for gardening and cooking. She would make endless jars of her own tomato sauce, bake her own bread, and most importantly, sharing the fruits of her labor with her family and friends.
Predeceased by her husband Luigi in 2005, Saveria leaves behind her loving son Anthony and his wife Deborah of South Plainfield, three grandchildren: Christopher, Louis and Alyssa, as well as her siblings: Frances Brunot of Piscataway, Freddie Esposito and Concetta Montuori, both of South Plainfield.
Visitation will be held in McCriskin-Gustafson Home for Funerals, 2425 Plainfield Avenue, South Plainfield, NJ 07080 on Wednesday, January 10, 2018 from 5-9pm and on Thursday, January 11, 2018 beginning 8:45am. Funeral services will begin in the funeral home on Thursday, January 11, 2018 at 9:15 am followed by a 10:00 am Mass of Christian Burial at the Church of the Sacred Heart in South Plainfield. Mausoleum entombment will take place at Holy Redeemer Cemetery in South Plainfield.
In lieu of flowers, donations sent to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, Memphis, TN 38105 would be appreciated.
