Edison, NJ - Elenore (Szallar) Holzheimer, 86, known to many as Ellie, passed away on Tuesday, January 5, 2016 at Haven Hospice located within JFK Medical Center in Edison. Born in Fords to her late parents Frank and Mary (Bartholomew) Szallar, Elenore lived in Woodbridge and Edison. Elenore was a member of the Woodbridge Elks Women's Auxiliary and worked for Merck, Allstate and JC Penney where she retired as a switchboard operator. Her life's loves were her children, grandchildren and friends. Predeceased by her sister Frances Katko of Woodbridge, Elenore is survived by three daughters; Lynn Stolze and her husband Randy of Neptune, Janis Roig and her companion Todd S. Stryker of North Brunswick and Kim McCarthy and her husband Blaise of South Plainfield. She also leaves behind her loving grandchildren; Brian Roig, Jason Stolze and his wife Sherri, Megan Stolze, Kyle Moroney and Aiden McCarthy; her sister Marie Taylor of Bridgewater and many nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held in McCriskin-Gustafson Home for Funerals, 2425 Plainfield Avenue, South Plainfield, NJ 07080 on Friday, January 8, 2015 from 2-4pm and 7-9pm and on Saturday, January 9, 2015 from 9:30 am until the service time. Funeral services will be held 10:00 am in the funeral home on Saturday, January 9, 2016. Burial will follow at St. James Cemetery in Woodbridge. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be sent to St. Francis of Assisi Cathedral, 32 Elm Avenue, Metuchen, NJ 08840.
