Obituary of William W. Berberick

William W. Berberick, 91, passed away on Friday, April 15, 2016 at home. Born and raised Jersey City, William settled to South Plainfield in 1988. Mr. Berberick worked as a fireman for the Jersey City Fire Dept and retired in 1984 after 26 dedicated years. During his retirement he then served as Treasurer to the Jersey City Fireman's Relief Fund, a position he held for 20 years. A veteran of WWII, William served in the Army Air Corps and was honorably discharged in 1946. Mr. Berberick is predeceased by his wife Marion who died in 2012 as well as nine brothers and sisters. He was the devoted father to his daughters; Jean Ann Fry (Frederick), Barbara Wilson and Elaine Bladon (Frederick), and the best grandfather to; Dawn Wilson, Tara Murphy (Bruno), Dana Bladon-Reuter (Charles), Jessica Bladon (Sean Walsh) and Lindsey Fry, and great grandfather of; Mercedes, William and Thomas Murphy, Violet Marion Walsh and Charles Gabriel Reuter IV. Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, April 21, 2016 at 9:15 AM in the McCriskin - Gustafson Home For Funerals, 2425 Plainfield Ave., South Plainfield, followed by a 10 AM funeral mass in Sacred Heart RC Church, South Plainfield. Entombment will follow in Holy Redeemer Cemetery, South Plainfield. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, April 20, 2016 from 2-4 & 7-9pm in the funeral home. In Lieu of flowers donations have been requested to the Seeing Eye Inc. www.seeingeye.org
