Obituary of Patricia J. Cirigliano

South Plainfield - Patricia J. Cirigliano, 67, passed away peacefully on Friday afternoon, February 12, 2016 with her family at her side. Born in Newark, NJ, Pat has been a lifelong resident of South Plainfield. She was a graduate of the South Plainfield High School Class of 1966. She went on to continue her education at Middlesex County College where she earned a Nursing degree in 1969. Pat's long and gratifying career as a Nurse began in 1966 where she worked as a Nurse's Aide in the former Muhlenberg Regional Medical Center. She later worked as staff nurse on the surgical floor before opting to stay at home and raise her children. Pat's desire to care for the elderly retuned her to work as the Nursing Coordinator for the Wise Adult Day Services in Union where she was currently working and will be sadly missed, but fondly remembered. Her passion for family and caring for others was paramount by her actions and should never be forgotten. Additionally, she loved to spend time with her family and treasured the time spent with everyone, especially her grandchildren at the beach in LBI, NJ. She is predeceased by her parents, Herbert and Elizabeth Hunterton, and sister in law, Carolyn Hunterton Surviving are her devoted husband of 46 years; Anthony, daughter; Nicole Naperkoski and her husband Dan of Robbinsville, son; Joseph and his wife Victoria of Fairfield, sister; Peggy Canfield and brother; Jim Hunterton. Also surviving are four beloved grandchildren; Christopher, Olivia, Anthony and Ben. Also surviving are many nieces, nephews and extended family and friends. All are welcome to join together for visitation hours on Tuesday, February 16, 2016 from 4-8pm in the funeral home. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, February 17, 2016 at 9:15am in the McCriskin-Gustafson Home for Funerals, 2425 Plainfield Avenue, South Plainfield, NJ 07080 followed by a funeral mass in Sacred Heart RC Church in South Plainfield at 10:00AM. Interment will follow in Hillside Cemetery in Scotch Plains. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Patricia's memory to Wise Adult Day Services c/o Gateway Family YMCA, 2095 Berwyn Street, Union, NJ 07083.
